Cooks Beach Resort Terms and Conditions
Cooks Beach Resort seeks your co-operation to ensure your stay with us, and the stay of other guests is an enjoyable one. By making a booking with us, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions set out below. These terms, our prices and other charges are subject to change without notice.

House Rules & Conditions of Occupancy
Check in : 2pm until 6pm Bronze Season (1st May -30th Sept)
2pm until 7pm Silver Season (23rd Jan -30th April & 1st Oct -23rd Dec)
2pm until 8pm Gold Season (24th Dec-22nd Jan)
For check in outside these times please phone us in advance.

Check out: 10.00am (unless by prior arrangement with management)
Tents: Due to fire safety regulations there must be 1.5metres between any two tents. If plugging into power you must have an approved RCD safety switch lead at least 10metres in length. Management reserves the right to unplug any connection that does not comply with regulations.
Caravans & Campervans: All caravans and campervans must have a current electrical and gas warrant of fitness and comply with AS/NZS3001:2008 and LPG standard NZS5428:2006.They must have their own wastewater containers which are to be emptied in the dump station only. Chemical toilets must also be emptied into the dump station only.
Campers: Must use the communal facilities provided not those in a chalet or studio.
Swimming/Spa Pools: Pool hours are 9am -9pm except if cleaning or testing is in progress. Strictly no access to pools during treatment after 9pm at night. Follow ALL pool rules displayed which includes
· ALL children under 12 years MUST be supervised by an adult at all times.
· NO glass in the pool area.
Boats: In consideration of other guests when flushing out boat motors this is to be restricted to the boat wash area between the hours of 10.00am and 6.00pm
Boat Wash: The use of theboat wash will incur a $5 charge per wash payable at the resort office.
Parking: All vehicles are to be parked on your allocated site only. Your visitor’s vehicles must be parked outside of the resort. Any vehicle parked on a roadway will be moved at owners cost.
Please note: In GOLD season (24th Dec-22Jan) Boat and Trailer parking will incur a charge per day.
Children: Please supervise your children at all times while staying at Cook’s beach resort especially within the securely fenced swimming and spa pool area.
Fires/Drugs & Fireworks: Fires, fireworks, candles/naked flames are not permitted on site. BBQs must be electric or gas. Drugs are not permitted at any time: immediate removal from the resort will result.
Alcohol: Alcohol can only be consumed on your allocated campsite/accommodation. Excessive drinking and parties are forbidden.
Smoking: No smoking in any resort facilities including Office/ toilets/laundry/chalets/studios/cabins/kitchen, lounge and pool area.

Noise: For the comfort of all our guests we have a strict no noise policy between 10.30pm and 7.00am.
Pets: Not allowed on site in Peak (Gold) season or Public Holidays. At other times pets are allowed by prior arrangement with management only.
Rubbish: We take recycling very seriously. Please sort recyclable materials into the correct bins provided. All other non-recyclable household rubbish to go into bins supplied.
Site Speed: Walking pace (5 km) for all vehicles at all times. Please be mindful of children.
Visitors: All visitors must check in at the office on arrival and leave the resort by 8.00pm.Vehicles must be parked outside of the resort. If you wish to use any of the resorts amenities including the pools there will be a charge incurred.
WI FI/mobile coverage/3G & Power: There is FREE WIFI on site. However we make no guarantee on the quality of the signal or its speed, especially during Gold (Peak) Season. Mobile coverage /3G in the Coromandel area can be compromised during busy periods and occasionally there can be power outages. We accept no liability for these factors as they are outside our direct control.
Weather: In the event of Storms/excessive rain/flooding which can cause inconvenience during your holiday. We will deal with everything within our control in a timely and diligent manner. We accept no liability for situations outside our direct control.
Health & Safety: All accidents on site must be reported to the office as soon as possible. Guests and visitors are responsible for taking all practicable steps to ensure their own and others safety while staying at Cooks Beach Resort.
Cooks Beach Resort management reserves the right to cancel tenancy of any person or group who, in our opinion are behaving in an objectionable or unsafe manner or contravene our conditions of occupancy. There will be no refund of any fees paid.

Reservations
GOLD SEASON (Peak) 24th Dec – 22nd Jan:
· Minimum night stays apply over this period.
· Minimum campsite charges apply. (Please enquire when booking)
Reservations are a contract between the Cooks Beach Resort and the person (18years and over) named on the reservation and are subject to the following conditions.
1) They are not transferrable to other people. The person named on the reservation must occupy the accommodation/campsite for the duration of the contract and is responsible for all occupants at the accommodation/campsite.
2) Campsite Reservations: The size and allocation of a campsite is based on the maximum number of people you declare will be on the site during your stay. If the number of people exceeds this amount an additional cost will apply.
3) Cook Beach Resort reserves the right to refuse any reservation (without refund) at our discretion.
4) GOLD (peak) season reservations must be made in writing (email)
5) GOLD season reservations and public holidays are subject to a minimum number of night stay.
6) GOLD season accommodation reservations are rented out as holiday homes over this period, they are not serviced. It is expected that guests will keep the accommodation clean and tidy during their stay (cleaning products will be provided).Rubbish and recycling bins on site for use by all customers. Our staff will supply clean towels and sheets over your stay of the 6 day minimum. If you would like a chalet or studio cleaned by our staff over your stay this will incur an extra charge of up to $55.00.
7) Special deals: from time to time we may offer special deals on our website. These are for consecutive night stays and are subject to availability and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
Confirmation
Reservations are not confirmed until your non-refundable deposit has been paid.
We hold the right to cancel a tentative reservation that has not been confirmed/deposit paid within 14days of your first enquiry.
Short notice reservations (if arrival date is less than 14 days away) will only be confirmed if full payment is received.
Payment & Due Dates
Payments can be made by direct credit to our bank account or by credit card.
Deposit: 20% deposit with a minimum of $50.00
Full Payment: Accommodation/campsites.
Due 30days from arrival date.
If full payment is not received by the relevant due date above, your booking will be treated as cancelled as per our cancellation policy below. Campsites/Accommodation cannot be accessed until full payment has been made.

Cancellation Policy
· Deposits are non-refundable.
· If cancelling more than 30 days from your expected arrival date, any payments made (including the deposit) may be transferred to an alternative reservation within 6 months of the cancelled reservation. Only one transfer is allowed.
· If cancelling within 30 days of your expected arrival date any payments made will be forfeited and no refunds given.
· Late arrivals, early departures and “no shows” are non-refundable and not transferable.
· We recommend that you obtain travel insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances and have to cancel.
Damage & Breakages
For accommodation reservations a credit card is required upon arrival. You are obliged to notify the office if any damage to Cooks Beach Resort property. Cooks Beach Resort reserves the right to recover the cost of damage and this will be charged at cost plus 20%.This may include reasonable costs of cleaning and/or lost rental if the accommodation/campsite is unable to be made available to future guests due to the actions of you or a member of your party.
